Essential Talent Performing Arts Academy is operated by performers to deliver students ready for work in the entertainment industry.
The directors of ETPAA are former performers who saw the need to develop a school which prepares students not only for exams and competitions but also for the entertainment industry.
Essential Talent Agency has been providing employment opportunities to Australian performers both in Australia and oversaes since 1985. In fact the creation of Essentail Talent Performance Academy was through neccessity as the agency was short on performers for one of the many touring productions, it was at this point Richard Laidlaw decided to open a school specifically to train students to work in the entertainment industry.
Now students attending ETPAA have the opportunity to get paid work performing along side seasoned performers.
ETPAA is one of a few companies which fall under the International Specatculars group of cpomapnies.
ESSENTIAL TALENT THEATRICAL PRODUCTION HOUSE – Producing and touring unique and original theatrical productions to Amusement Parks, Casino’s, Shopping Malls and Cruise ships throughout Asia and Australia. Essential Talent has employed over 1000 performers to date in shows ranging from Musicals, Circuses, Ice Skating Spectaculars (On our portable Ice Rinks), Magic Shows, Cabaret Revues and Kids Mascot Shows to name a few.
Our state of the art facilities include a recording studio, editing suite and wardrobe department. The production team includes costume and set designers, musical arrangers, script / copy writers, directors, choreographers, lighting / sound designers and visual artists.
We have a number of ready to go shows for clients looking for short and long term contracts. Our extensive experience in touring shows guarantees a high standard of show.

Essential Talent Performance Academy is now the largest entertainment school in Adelaide featuring 5 state of the art training studios running approximately 70 classes each week.
