Studying Musical Theatre at ETPAA is an exciting and life changing experience. The course is designed to transform its participants from aspiring and talented students into refined and professional performers ready to take on industry work. Studying under world-class permanent and guest lecturers, students will gain invaluable knowledge and training in jazz, tap, classical and contemporary dance styles, as well as acting singing and acrobatics. These will create the desired ‘triple threat’ performer. Further education in the history of musical theatre, career and arts management, performance technique and more, will prepare students for all they need to know to be experts in musical theatre. Students will perform a number of shows whilst in the course, being exposed to industry professionals and the numerous opportunities that come from studying at ETPAA.

Students are required to attend a minimum of 30 contact hours per week

Facilities

Essential Talent Performing Arts Academy (ETPAA) facilities include state of the art dance studios, acting studios, a recording studio, editing suite and wardrobe department. The ETPAA students will work closely with the production team which includes costume and set designers, musical arrangers, script / copy writers, directors, choreographers, lighting / sound designers and visual artists.

With international and national clients looking for short and long term contracts, students may have the opportunity to take advantage of a campus based agency offering payed professional work to performers. Our extensive experience in touring shows guarantees a high standard of performance and national and international job opportunities.

Representation

The full time course students are also offered the opportunity for representation by Essential Talent and Actors Ink. Upon Graduating all students will have the tools (headshot, CV, VO demo and show reel) to either seek representation by agencies or productions in other states or overseas.

Fees

An audition application fee is required to process your applicatiuon Following the standard fee for full-time Musical Theatre and Dance courses for the 2012 intake enrolled in two consecutive semesters will be capped at $5000 per year.

How to Get Into ETPAA

Admission to this course is by audition and interview only.

Minimum entry requirements:

Satisfactory performance in an audition

and any one of:

• Completion of Year 10 or higher
• Any certificate II or higher

In order to receive your course and audition package, you must fill in the application form attached to the brochure or online and have returned it with payment of the $20.00 application fee by Saturday 5th November. Auditions will take place in November of each year and you’ll be required to provide specific information beforehand so save time and apply now.
